Brick & block sealing, breathable protection that lasts.

Penetrating water repellents for clay brick, concrete block and heritage masonry. Stops efflorescence, slows lichen, protects against frost damage — without changing how the brick looks or letting the wall stop breathing.

Brick we seal

Every brick wall has its own moisture story.

  • Clay brick façades

Clay brick wicks water on a daily cycle. Our Water Repel sealer fills the pore structure with a breathable hydrophobic layer, so the brick stops absorbing rain while still letting internal moisture out. Net result: no more wet patches, no more efflorescence cycles.

  • Concrete block walls

Concrete block is highly porous and grows lichen aggressively when wet. Sealed block walls dry faster after rain and resist biological colonisation for years.

  • Boundary & retaining walls

Brick and block retaining walls take a constant moisture load from the soil side. Sealing the visible face stops salts migrating outward and crystallising on the surface as efflorescence.

  • Heritage brick

Older brick walls with lime mortar need a sealer that's gentle on the substrate and lets the wall breathe. We don't apply film-forming products to heritage brick — only penetrating silane/siloxane formulations that work with the original construction.

  • Architectural brick feature walls

Modern architectural brick that's been chosen as a design feature deserves to be protected. A sealer extends the visual lifespan of the brick and keeps the design looking sharp.

  • Garden & landscape walls

Brick walls in landscape settings get the worst of both worlds — irrigation overspray, soil moisture and full sun. Sealing slows weathering and keeps the wall looking finished, not faded.

How we work

Slow when it matters, fast when it doesn’t.

  • 01

    Substrate check

Different bricks have different porosities. A spot-test confirms absorption rates so we apply the right number of coats for full penetration.

  • 02

    Clean first

Sealing dirty brick traps the dirt under the seal. We clean first — properly — so the sealer bonds to the substrate, not the lichen.

  • 03

    Penetrating application

Water Repel goes on as a breathable penetrating treatment. It doesn't change the brick's appearance, doesn't film over the surface, and doesn't darken the colour.

  • 04

    Long-life protection

Properly applied, our brick sealer lasts 7-10 years on most substrates. The wall sheds water, resists efflorescence, and stays cleaner for longer.
