Tile cleaning · Queenstown & Wanaka

Tile cleaning, from natural stone to porcelain.

Natural stone tile, travertine, slate, porcelain — cleaned with chemistry chosen for the substrate. We don't use a one-size-fits-all approach. The wrong cleaner can etch acid-sensitive stone permanently.

The tile we work with

Different tile, different chemistry.

  • Natural stone tile

Limestone, marble, travertine, sandstone — natural stone tile is acid-sensitive and easily etched by the wrong cleaner. Common products from the supermarket aisle can permanently dull the surface. We use pH-neutral specialist chemistry.

  • Travertine

Pool surrounds, entryways and patios. Travertine's fossil texture grabs dirt and holds moisture. Specialist soft-wash with vacuum extraction lifts the contamination from the texture without damaging the stone.

  • Slate

Indoor and outdoor slate has a flaky surface that needs careful handling. We use methods that lift staining without exfoliating the surface layers.

  • Porcelain & ceramic

Generally tougher than natural stone but the grout between tiles is where problems develop. Tile cleaning alone isn't enough — we treat the grout properly too.

  • Pool surrounds

Tile around pools has chlorine residue, calcium scaling, and slip-rating requirements. We use cleaners that handle the chemistry without compromising the slip surface.

  • Entryways & patios

Exterior tile takes weathering, foot grit, irrigation overspray and biological staining. A proper outdoor tile clean restores the look without etching the surface.

How we work

Slow when it matters, fast when it doesn’t.

  • 01

    On-site assessment

We come and look at the surface in person. Identify the substrate, test a small area, and work out what the surface actually needs.

  • 02

    Tailored method

Soft wash, steam, mild alkaline cleaner, biocide treatment, chosen for your surface, not from a one-size-fits-all playbook.

  • 03

    Careful application

Low-pressure equipment that won't damage the substrate. Plant protection. Spot-testing as we go.

  • 04

    Optional sealing

Once clean, a breathable sealer extends the result and protects against future moss, salt and water damage.
