Concrete cleaning · Queenstown & Wanaka

Concrete cleaning done with chemistry, not just pressure.

Driveways, patios, garages and commercial slabs across the Southern Lakes. Specialist chemistry that lifts oil, lichen and weathering — without the high-pressure blasting that wrecks the surface you're trying to restore.

The concrete we work with

Every surface has its own treatment.

  • Driveways

Most Queenstown and Wanaka driveways are exposed aggregate or broom-finish concrete. Both pick up tyre marks, oil, lichen and alpine grime that water alone won't shift. We use chemistry that lifts the contamination, then a low-pressure rinse — never high-pressure blasting that erodes the cement paste between the stones.

  • Patios & paths

Pavers, broom-finish concrete and exposed aggregate paths around alpine homes get heavy moss, lichen and algae build-up where shade and irrigation overlap. Our biocide treatment kills spores so the green doesn't grow back in a season.

  • Garage & workshop floors

Oil, hydraulic fluid, rust and tannin staining on garage and workshop slabs. Specialist degreasers and stain-specific chemistry — what works on oil doesn't work on rust, and vice versa.

  • Exposed aggregate

Exposed aggregate looks beautiful when clean and shabby when neglected. The aggregate stone holds dirt in its micro-texture. We deep-clean the matrix without smoothing the surface or stripping the existing seal.

  • Commercial slabs

Café forecourts, restaurant terraces, retail entrances. After-hours work, no disruption, results that hold up to alpine UV and freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Pool surrounds & alfresco areas

Concrete around pools and outdoor entertainment areas needs a clean that respects the slip-rating and any existing sealer. We choose products that don't strip the finish you paid for.

How we work

Slow when it matters, fast when it doesn’t.

  • 01

    On-site assessment

We look at the substrate, the staining, and any existing seal. A small spot-test tells us what method the surface actually needs — high-pressure blasting is rarely the right answer for concrete.

  • 02

    Targeted chemistry

Oil, rust, tannin, lichen, weathering — each needs a different cleaner. We carry a full chemistry kit and choose by stain type, not by habit.

  • 03

    Low-pressure rinse

We rinse with the lowest effective pressure. High-pressure blasting on concrete strips the cement paste between aggregate stones and accelerates wear.

  • 04

    Optional sealing

Clean concrete is the right time to seal. A penetrating sealer locks in the result and stops the next round of staining before it starts.
