Limestone we seal
Every limestone has its own porosity.
Ōamaru stone
Ōamaru stone is highly absorbent and weathers fast without protection. A breathable penetrating sealer dramatically slows weathering, prevents biological colonisation, and protects against freeze-thaw damage — without changing the natural appearance.
Travertine
Travertine's fossil texture holds water for hours after rain. A pH-neutral penetrating sealer keeps the texture intact while preventing the stone from absorbing pool chemicals, oil, food spills and weather staining.
Heritage limestone
We work to architect and heritage authority specifications on protected buildings. Where heritage rules permit modern sealers, we use only breathable formulations that won't trap moisture in the wall.
Limestone paving
Garden and pool paving limestone gets the worst weathering. Sealing locks in the colour and stops salt and biological staining from setting in.
Interior limestone floors
Polished or honed interior floors benefit from impregnating sealers that protect against oil and acidic spills without dulling the finish.
Bluestone, basalt & related
Each natural stone in the limestone family has different porosity. We test and apply the appropriate sealer for the substrate, not a one-size-fits-all product.

Low-pressure equipment that won't damage the substrate. Plant protection. Spot-testing as we go.
