Lindt Chocolate Shop

RTS Construction Chemicals completed the cleaning, preparation and sealing of newly installed Oamaru stone surfaces at the Lindt Chocolate Shop in Queenstown. Natural Oamaru stone is a porous masonry material that is highly susceptible to staining, moisture ingress and dusting in high-traffic retail environments. To ensure long-term durability and maintain the natural appearance of the stone, all surfaces were carefully cleaned and prepared prior to treatment. The stone was then treated with RTS No.4 penetrating sealer, a breathable masonry sealer designed to protect natural stone without altering colour or texture. The sealer penetrates deep into the substrate, providing water and stain resistance while allowing vapour to escape, preventing trapped moisture and premature deterioration. The result is a clean, natural finish that enhances the appearance of the interior stonework while delivering low-maintenance performance suitable for a busy commercial space. This project demonstrates the effectiveness of penetrating sealers for protecting Oamaru stone, masonry and natural stone surfaces in retail and commercial buildings throughout Queenstown and Central Otago.
