Cromwell Memorial Hall

Cromwell Memorial Hall

Cromwell Memorial Hall is one of the town's most visible civic buildings, a contemporary memorial complex sitting alongside the cenotaph and ANZAC walkway in the heart of Cromwell. RTS Construction Chemicals was engaged for the brick and masonry protection work across the build. The scope covered the external viblock brick and the internal brickwork. The external brick was acid-washed to remove construction residue and prepare the surface, then sealed with RTS No. 4 Water Repel. The internal brickwork was cleaned and given a full dust seal, critical for a high-traffic public building. The external brick was then finished with an anti-graffiti coating to protect against future tagging on a publicly-accessible site. Working on a civic memorial building means getting the substrate care right the first time. The result is a coherently protected brick envelope, inside and out, using NZ-formulated products built specifically for Central Otago's frost cycles and alpine UV.
