Natural Stone Tile Cleaning · Queenstown & Wanaka
Natural stone tile, cleaned the way the stone wants.
Travertine, limestone, slate, paver tile and similar stone surfaces — pool surrounds, patios, entryways, indoor floors. We clean and reseal without etching, dulling or stripping the finish. The right chemistry for each stone type, every time.
What you get
The case for natural stone tile cleaning.
Surface-safe chemistry
Different stone types react differently to acids and alkaline cleaners. We test before we treat — no etched travertine, no dulled slate.
Works indoors and out
Pool decks, patios, courtyards, entry tiles, indoor floors — same care, different application.
Reseal to lock in the result
Optional resealing with breathable, NZ-formulated chemistry that protects without leaving a plastic film.
Specialist, not a generalist
Most cleaning operators treat all hard surfaces the same. Natural stone tile needs a specialist — and that's what we do.
Natural stone tile is beautiful but unforgiving. Use the wrong cleaner and you can etch travertine, strip slate, or leave a permanent haze on marble. Most general cleaning operators don't know the difference — and the damage they cause is expensive to fix. We've spent years working out what each surface needs and we use NZ-formulated chemistry tested specifically for stone tile. Whether it's a pool deck, a heritage limestone entryway, or a slate-tiled courtyard, we treat it like the investment it is.

Common questions
The things people ask.
What kinds of natural stone tile do you clean?
Travertine, limestone, slate, marble, granite, sandstone, and most paver tiles. We've worked on pool surrounds, indoor entryways, courtyards, patios and commercial floors. If you're not sure what stone you have, we can identify it on the site visit.
Will cleaning damage my travertine or limestone?
Not with the right method. Travertine and limestone are calcium-based and react badly to acidic cleaners — pour the wrong product on and you etch the stone permanently. We use pH-neutral or alkaline-balanced cleaners specifically formulated for these surfaces.
Can you reseal stone tile after cleaning?
Yes — most jobs are clean and reseal together. We use breathable penetrating sealers that protect against water, stains and salt without leaving a film on the surface. The stone still looks like stone, just sheds water and resists staining.
Do you remove old sealer that's gone hazy or peeling?
Yes — failed sealer is one of the most common reasons tile starts looking bad. We can strip the old sealer first, then clean and reseal properly. Stripping needs the right product for the original sealer type.
How long does the work take?
A typical residential job (pool deck, patio or entryway) is one day. Larger commercial floors or jobs with multiple stone types can take longer. We'll quote with a clear timeline from the site visit.
Do you do this in Wanaka as well as Queenstown?
Yes — we travel to Wanaka, Hāwea, Albert Town, Cromwell and across Central Otago weekly. Travel is built into the quote, no surprise fees.
